21 Weeks

21 Weeks!

So, Cadence update. She is apparently now as long as a banana and weighs a little under a pound. The books say that she can hear us, and the noises around us at this time. I'm not sure though. I haven't felt her respond to specific things, like music or voices. She just seems to move randomly and sporadically. I have started talking to her while I drive to work. The other driver's either think I'm on a bluetooth, or I'm crazy. meh.

I am soooo excited for Thanksgiving. We had our friends Thanksgiving on Saturday and let me tell you, maternity pants make Thanksgiving sooo nice. I was starving which is the norm for me at this point, and I ate until I couldn't eat anymore. I was still comfortable though! Ha ha everyone who wasn't wearing elastic pants. I can only imagine tomorrow will be as good as Saturday.

I've had varying remarks on how big people think I am. Some people are shocked that I'm only 51/2 months (I will be on Sunday, I'm updating this week late. :) ) While another lady approached me today and related this story.

Lady:"So, I had to ask Pam if you were still pregnant. You're so tiny, I didn't want to ask you."

Me: "Oh yeah, that would have been awkward."

So, I know I'm on track for weight gain. I'm ok with how big, or how little I am, but I think it's funny that a.) everyone has an opinion about how big or how small I am and b.)I'm apparently neither... or both. :/ lol. I think it must depend on how Cady's lying in there. Some days I do look HUGE.

We officially have two running cars. We're no longer making payments on a car that is immobile. I'm sure I said Zack's car was running at some point earlier in the month, but it needed further repairs. I spoke too soon.

I've realized that we really have nothing for the baby yet. We have a crib...but no mattress. I should probably get on that whole buying thing. I think I'll wait until after Christmas though.

Oh, and make sure you check your paychecks. I looked at mine today, and realized that they've hardly with held any federal or state tax because of the changes Obama implemented. So. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get screwed when it comes time to file. Lame. Although, if we do end up owing, I may further investigate the claims of filing a tax return being unconstitutional. (It is by the way, it's in violation of the fifth amendment.)

Ok, this was more of an Ashley update, than a Cadence update. But hey, I'm part of this whole thing too, right?
